Great Yarmouth Town Hall
Refurbishment of the Town Hall with Grade II listed interiors and external elevations. English Heritage and the Council’s Senior Conservation Officer were closely involved with the project. Major structural alterations provided new spaces, radical redesign of existing rooms for alternative uses. A new atrium was formed within the central lightwell with a glass lift and roof, complete renewal of all mechanical, electrical and data installations. Approximately 60 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated materials were removed from the building which remained occupied by staff for the duration of the work.
